Dear Band,
Last evening we enjoyed the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Concert. Listening to the music helped me realize how much enjoyment we bring to other people. As I reflect on our nation’s history and the opportunities this country provides, I am pleased to be a small part of giving back. I want to thank you again for being part of the Believers Concert Band and for all you do.
Next week is going to be a busy time for us as we approach the final week of preparation. I would like to remind you of the schedule, music order and dress.
June 24, Tuesday – Band rehearsal WILL BE IN THE SANCTUARY and begins at 6 p.m.; WE WILL WARM UP ON THE NATIONAL EMBLEM MARCH # 041, please make sure to bring this music. John will work with the band on the selections that he will conduct from around 6:10 until 7:00. The choir will join the rehearsal at 7p.m. The band will be dismissed at 8 p.m., but the choir may stay until 8:30. As we leave please be as quiet as possible so the choir can hear John.

June 25, Wednesday – Band call time is 6:45; combined choir/band dress rehearsal begins at 7 p.m. and will conclude by 8:30. I would like to warm up and also run through The National Emblem March one time before the official rehearsal starts. This rehearsal will include narration and media.

June 29, Sunday – Please be in place ready to warm up by 2:45 p.m. in the Reception Hall. We will have photos in the sanctuary at 3:00. The choir will have photos taken immediately after the combined choir/band photo. The concert starts at 4 p.m., so you can see that everyone needs to be in place and on time. The band’s staging area will be the Reception Hall which is just down the main hallway in front of the Sanctuary on the right. After the photos we will return to the Reception Hall for more warm up. I will point this room out to you on Tuesday. Please bring your stands for the warm up in the Reception Hall. Please be on time for the photos.
The dress for the concert is “concert black”. The music order is at the end if this email.
Needless to say, we will need to stay very focused on Sunday amid all the chaos.
IF ANYTHING CHANGES I WILL SEND YOU AN UPDATE ASAP.
If you have not gotten your tickets, please remember to do so at rehearsal Tuesday.
I look forward to the concert. As I review the season, I am very proud of what you have accomplished.
As we go through the week please keep the following players in your prayers, Sandy Blankenship, trombone, hip replacement, Chuck Reed, Trombone, Hernia surgery, Karyl Evans, Flute, Broken arm an
