Dear Band,
It seems like a month since last Tuesday’s rehearsal. Things are moving pretty fast. Thanks so much for your efforts on the Hymn to the Fallen and other Patriotic selections – you sounded like a different band from Tuesday a week ago.
Just a short note about rehearsal Tuesday and the Lakeside Worship Service. We will run through the Lakeside music at the first part of Tuesday’s rehearsal – this should take about 15 – 20 minutes. PLEASE NOTE that we have a NEW SONGS on the list, All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name 207 (not 258). Please print this hymn from the web. The second new hymn is Hymn of Promise which I will hand out at rehearsal.
We will play for the Lakeside Worship Service on Sunday, June 14. Please be in place ready to play by 8:15. PLEASE BRING YOUR STANDS in case of rain. The uniform will be our blue band shirts and khaki trousers, skirts or shorts. Please remember to bring a cap, it could be very sunny. Also remember that there are no restrooms at Lakeside.
We will work on as much of the Patriotic music as we have time. John La Forge is scheduled to be with us for our rehearsal on June 16 to check out tempos and for all of us to get comfortable with each other. We will be rehearsing with the choir on June 23 and 24 in the Sanctuary.
Thank you for all the work you have done – your services are appreciated.
Be safe,
Richard
