February 18, 2024

Dear, dear friends,

Thank you so much for your outpouring of love and prayers.  Monday’s rehearsal meant so much to Clair and me.  It was a beginning to the healing that we trust is to come.  While this is a difficult time for me personally, this concert is a positive focus for my time and energy.  I look forward to this being our best concert yet!

I am certain that God blesses our time together.  However, if I didn’t know better, I’d wonder about our dress rehearsal!  The church has informed me that they will need to be setting up the sanctuary for worship at 2:30 pm on Saturday, February 24.  Therefore, we need to move our rehearsal time yet again.  Our new – and final – dress rehearsal time is Saturday, February 24, 12:30 to 2:30.  Wear comfortable clothes.  We’ll be putting away percussion and stands and replacing the choir chairs in the choir loft.  I am always impressed with how everyone who is able pitches in!

The dress for the concert will be all black with a splash of red.  Men might choose to wear a jacket with a black shirt and red bow tie or pocket square, or black pants with a black dress shirt and a red tie, etc.  Women may choose black dressy slacks with a black blouse and red earrings, or a long black dress with a red scarf or a red necklace, etc.  If you don’t have a red “splash,” just wear black.

Please put your music in this concert order:

  • 433 – My Fair Lady
  • 805 – Dance of the Spirits (GBC Co.1)
  • 778 – Haven’t Met You Yet (Paul)
  • 743 – Lagan Love
  • 806 – Symphonic Highlights from Frozen (GBC Jr. Co.)
  • 807 – My Heart Will Go On (Lisa)
  • 804 – Emperor Waltz (GBC Co.1)
  • 779 – Baby It’s Cold Outside (Paul, Lisa and dancers)
  • I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm (all dancers at end)

Continue to practice with the rehearsal tracks.  You know the spots that specifically need your attention.  Invite all your friends to join us on Sunday at 3 pm!  This is the time of year for “Songs to Warm Your Heart!”

Warmly,

David
