Dear Believers,

Last Tuesday’s concert was awesome!  I heard many, many positive comments!  It was a moving tribute to our veterans!  Great job, everyone!

I want to especially thank the Public Relations Committee, Planning and Production Committee and Kay and her helpers with the amazing decorations!!!

I am looking forward to the “Jingle Mingle” this Saturday, November 22nd!!!  Here are the details:

  • The Main Street Market, 118 Main Street SW, Gainesville, GA  30501
  • Be there, rain or shine!!  
  • Parking is available in the parking garages.
  • Jingle Mingle activities are from 4-8:00 pm so give yourself plenty of time to park and get to the Main Street Market
  • Dress in your most festive Christmas-wear – decorate your instruments and music stands – have fun making music!
  • 4:00 pm Load Percussion at GFUMC.
  • 4:30 pm Early set-up – arrive at Main Street Market –– Take pictures of the area before moving chairs and tables.  Percussion set-up first and then chairs – Please come and help if possible. 
  • 5:00 pm – Call time
  • 5:15 pm – Warm-up.  
  • Bring a music stand and stand light, instrument and the following music (in numerical order):

    • 344 Frosty’s Caribbean Holiday 
  • 5:45-6:30 pm – Play first set of music
  • 6:30-7:00 pm – Eat and enjoy performances on the stage

(Food provided by Main Street Market)

  • 7:00-7:15 pm – The Lighting of the “Big Chicken” Ceremony/Fireworks 
  • 7:15-8:00 pm – Play second set
  • 8:00 pm – Pack-up, help put the market back together.

Here is the schedule for the remainder of 2025:

  • Monday November 24 – No Rehearsal – Happy Thanksgiving!!
  • Monday, December 1, 8, 15 from 6-8:00 pm – Regular Rehearsal
  • Monday December 22 & 29 – No Rehearsal – Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!
  • Monday, January 5, 2025 from 6-8:00 pm – Regular rehearsals begin.
